I used a piece of 5/8" heater hose.. it was slightly larger than the muffler output.. so I cut a small piece off my hobbico deflector and the host fit perfectly over that. The nice part is the heater hose if flexible.. but won't kink... it is also a larger diameter.. so less back pressure.. I also found a grommet that fits perfectly in the chrome cone for the heater hose... found it at auto parts store.

Look here for pictures.

I have had problems with high temp heater tubing made of rubber. The combination of heat and oil will crack it at the tip. It wont stand up to the abuse.

header tank

I used 4 small bolts and bolted a piece of hard wood to the battery tray ,extending it slightly so the battery sits forward. Then the header tank is screwed to the front of the wood. This makes it easy to see when flying .I dont have any photos

Have a look at www.electrotekrc.com

The Gem 2000 monitors a bunch of stuff plus theres a version which has a low fuel alarm - you set two probes in the bottom of the tank and when the fuel reaches the low level the LED starts to flash

Seems to work well on mine
Cheers
Joe
