I am experiencing a tail kick problem during throttle up.

I only notice this problem recently after updating my 14MZ to Ver 1.3.1

I also did a test while holding the heli in my hand and throttle up. When i throttle up, after it rev almost to 50% throttle stick, the tail servo will wag once or twice. After that it will be ok.

I also tried turning off the gyro to INH mode or setting the gain to 0%. Then i throttle up again, this time round, the servo didn't wag/kick/spike.

Anyidea what's causing this problem ??

I'm using:
Knotronik Jazz 55A
Scorpoion 2221-6
Gy401 - 9650 rudder
R146iP

although not familiar with this radio, as a troubleshooting technique I would go back to previous version to eliminate any doubts...if indeed possible.

Ok after the update, the only changes i've notice was the Rx channels was changed.

CH1 - AIL
CH2 - ELE
CH3 - THR
CH4 - RUD
CH5 - GYR
CH6 - PIT

So i unplug all my servo leads and reconnect them again to suit this "new channel mapping"

Besides that, i have check my throttle curve, gyro setting, everything seems normal/same as before.

What was the channel mapping before?

I though Futaba was always like that!

Thats some strange mapping there.

Im surprised no one with same radio has chimmed in yet.

I would have suspected a residual programming but as you updated software, you would think everything was reset. Did it?

I noticed you have more than one model...I guess no problems with the others?

This radio has its own forum as well...have you posted there as well?

http://www.14mz.com/forum/

As a last resort I would start fresh on a new model slot.

by the way...how bad are the kicks? mild or aggressive?

Jazz can "twitch" once when reaching target speed, thats normal.
(just once when the spoolup stops)
