| Guys, I fixed the TT bearings from coming out by taking a solder pin, and melting the holder edge every 90 degs to hold the bearing in..
What was causing them to come out was the auto clutch chattering...In fact it has caused every problem you have mention, plus others..
What cause me to look at this hub was the fact I was tuning a Spectra for Mark in NY at Dalton Ga..The tail was just quivering coming and going... I new dang well it wasn't the engine, so I done a few test to confirm it, like lifting the heli, up and down, resting it on the ground, I would allow the pitch to zero out, but keep the rpm up..You could focus on a sockethead bolt, but in the air(load) you could not focus...You can learn to tune the adjustment with the clutch on the Spectra after you study it...
After learning all this, I'm convinced on all machines, the trouble is not the engines usually, its always in the drive train somewhere on all that I've worked on..
Now, with Wally's new fan, that thing is really changing everything..I'm still getting use to it. Gassers have always suffered from summertime heat, but this fan has got the power back up... I have been in this for a long time, and can tell you, it doesn't matter what you buy, your going to have to learn every characteristic of whatever machine you buy to keep it from costing you money... For as Century on the Predator, it will evolve fine once they start making it in their own plant..Their vendors have cause them a lot of problems ... I specialize in making things work with what you have, and I have put in no telling how many hrs finding, and fixing problems..I can tell you this that auto hub fix changes everything on this heli...
After three years, I'm finished with it, finally. Its a good cheap heli Bill |
