Seems to be many more of you here doing spherical panos now. Good to see!
I've been quite a bit less active in the forums for the past few months for various reasons, and not flying RC much lately (soon to change), but want to offer what I'll call the "Sky of the Month"
Every month I'll try to remember to get back on this thread and post up a new one. How are these useful? well, if you're shooting aerial pans something you never get is full sky coverage. Over the past year I have shot a vast collection of skies with my 50' mast. I use them to composite into my aerial pans. What I do is go shoot my pans and then come back to the studio and look through my collection of skies. When I find one that matches the lighting and overall "feel" for the aerial pan I'll grab it and composite into my aerial pan with about 2-5 minutes of Photoshop work.
Many of you don't have masts and can't shoot the sky with a clear unobstructed view of the horizon. Or maybe you want a completely different looking sky to change the mood or feel of the pan... for those of you who find the need, I submit to you the first Sky of the Month.
