Avant Aurora - EFX - FX > Crooked Tail Case?

Has anyone else had a problem when mounting the tail? Mine is pretty crooked once everything is mounted. It looks like the holes in the boom are a little off. I think the holes are far enough off that I could drill new holes along side them although it wouldn't leave much carbon in between the new and old holes I considered flipping the boom over and drilling new holes front and back but I would probably have my own problems getting them all lined up correctly

I sent him an email when I found the problem. I was just considering trying to fix it myself with new holes but Ill probably wait to see what Augusto says first.

Get a round file and Slot the 2 holes in the front, that'll take care of that in a jiffy. It doesnt take much, its seriously like a 10 second job.

I bet opening it up about 1/16" is all it would take. I little goes a long way, and you only need to turn the boom about 3 or 4 degrees, from
what I can tell.

Don't mess with the rear holes.

Like Dood said just open the holes up on the front of the boom a little and that will take care of it.

I had the exact same problem and got the tail replaced and the replacement was still off

That said...on inspection you'll find that the holes are only just out (sure not usable but in terms degrees it's a hair). Enlarge the holes in the boom a little and you'll be able to adjust it perfect

The pastic tail box will hold the tail solid and in place fine (they are only really alignment holes) and you'll probably endup with a spair boom for your troubles.

Thanks for the link. It looks like the rear holes on mine are off causing the tilt. One of the rear holes didn't line up and I had to use a file to move it about 1/2-3/4mm to make the tail case bolt on. Unfortunately, I think that was the hole that was properly aligned I will probably end up filing the front holes to get everything to line up although I wanted to wait until I heard from Augusto before trying to fix it myself. I sent him an email through his forum for 2 issues I have but I haven't heard back from him. Does anyone know the direct email address without going through the Avant forum?

EDIT: I talked to Augusto and he told me I could either send in the boom for a replacement or slot the front holes to make it fit. I slotted the holes about 3/4mm and everything lines up. It was very simple and only took about a minute to slot the holes. Thanks for the help guys
