Ok, I treat my motors as nice as I can.

With the magnet, I released pressure and left it full 1/2 time and empty half time, for 2 months.

Well, I burned a motor down, wasnt sure why as nothing had changed...

Install another hyper50 in my 600n, 1/2 tank, inverted hover, dies, couldnt make it around, hard auto.......

Find the sponge had totally deteriorated and was pluggin the filter..

Any advice.....

These are expensive(relatively), and I put a new sponge on,(15.99 for 3!!!!!) but also a vbar......but I dont trust this thing.......

Im scared...help...

fwiw..

Go to the OS bubbleless clunk...No foam to change, works great, heavy enough for most fuel lines...

Whoa, never seen one, looks good, for the same price....future planks and helis......

Ive already have this installed, new sponge and all, should I ditch it?

While contemplating, I ran the 600n through a mild 3d routine(tic tocs, funnels, walls etc, im not into piroflips yet)...Only on 1/8 tank did it bobble on me....My heli wasnt finished with its 12 step and was on crack, and never missed a beat....is the bubble, sponge, and header only for running it empty, or am I not trying hard enough?

I fly mine pretty hard...runs fine all the way down...Used the fuel magnet for a while, worked fine, but the foam deterioration bothered me...

i've been using the OMI for about a year with great success.

i don't run muffler pressure (OS 91 Hyper Pump), isolate the tank from atmosphere at the end of the day, store the heli with about 3/4 inch of fuel in the tank, and change it ~2 months. i also fuel through an auxilary line so i'm not blasting fuel thru it the opposite way it normally sees flow. It's working so i guess i'll keep doing it.

Rig--
Your foam on the fuel magnet is deteriorating away due to the muffler pressure temperatures.. As the fuel tank empties and the hot exhaust gas is now pushing in filling the fuel tank the foam just dissolves..
So it isn't about how you store it or etc if your using exhaust pressure and you have flown it till the main tank is empty, Then your foam has been exposed to the exhaust heat and is on it's way out!
Go with the OS Clunk-One purchase, One time and forget about it and it will work forever.
