take a heat gun and warm up the magnets. should get the epoxy soft enough to pick out

I haven't had to do this but I imagine yo could do the following:

1) drill a small hole 1/16th or so on the back side of the fan behind the magnet.

2) apply some heat via a small butane torch to break the epoxy or CA bond

3) push out with a small precision screw driller through the hole.

now that you have the holes drilled they also let excess glue/epoxy out when you put in the new magnets...definitely helps not getting an air bubble or pocket of glue behind the magnet that forces it back up every time you push it back down.

When I have had to do mine. Both in the T600n As well as Stratus or any other metal fan, I simply use a torch to heat the back or the fan where the magnet is. Omnce the Epoxy or JB weld gets hot and soft. It will almost puch out the magnet in some cases. Others, I just touch the magnet with a screw driver and lift it out.

Works well 98% of the time.

Use the same technique to remove the old Min Air torque tube ends before they pined them. The glue would get hot and "push" the end right off.. Fumes STINK though..

Tech Tip of the month: Check all your bearings before you pack it up for winter. Oil = no rust!

Its best to drill a hole before you install the magnet. That way you don't get the airbubble in the glue, and you can push it out with a pin or nail when you want to take it out.

Or just be lazy and buy new In all seriousness Barracuda is correct, you really need to drill the hole ahead of time, if you didn't, you will need to do it now to push them out.

I had the same thought. I have read elsewhere as well on magnets loosing its strength if they are heated/drilled/rubbed/hit hard. Thus i was seeking more assistance from rr community.

Thanks all

Was thinking of trying out the new Rpm sensors from spectrum. Which sits on the engine backplate.

i had to drill a small hole and used a punch to get mine out. but it is a good idea to drill a hole before you put the magnet in so the epoxy sets in the hole right. you can fill the hole and push the epoxy out the hole then you know it is in there good and there is no air, and you reduse the chance of loosing a magnet.

pick it up and shake it off...she'll fly again

In that case just leave the magnets in place. Nothing wrong with them being there, and why screw up your clutch bell trying to remove the magnets???

I got a helicopter for my girlfriend,
It was a good trade!
