Winning due to someone else's mechanical failure is hardly something to trumpet . . . but then again, even coming in 2nd, Lucas *does* have a lot to be proud of . . .

Can't believe that... Winning is about not just flying well but finishing the flight also. Maybe the muffler bolts will get checked next time

Oh really now, thats a great outlook/attitude to have. Who is to say that had Dominiks muffler hadn't come off he wouldn't have pulled a bad flight anyways and still lost? or do you have a crystal ball and just know the flight would've been perfect. Maybe there is a little too much fanboyism here for me.

I can't wait. Right now I'm making molds for carbon fiber N9 canopies. If I can sell a few, that will help my financing for a couple of N5's to add the needed fleet.

OK, I put "probably" into my post, to appease the whiners . . . Bottom line is that the D3/Turbulence has been ruling all along, and no reason to think this would have been any different if the problem has not occurred . . .

The bottom line of my comment is that Align can't claim any superiority, since it wasn't a "clean" win . . . had neither had a mechanical problem, them the comparison would be more realistic. Kinda like the guy who wins 12 out of 13 auto races, and has the engine blow on the 13th . . . kinda hard to claim the other guy is better overall at that point, now isn't it? Same applies here . . .

Well, seeing how you have been around long enough, thought you would've figured out that its not the heli that wins competition, but rather the pilot. If you think that Dominik can't do the same things and win like he has with any other 90 size heli out there, then well...yea...

My view on any of the competition results comes down to a fairly sage quote:

It's not the machine - it's the man. --Chuck Yeager

I'm sure the reason Dominik or Lukas does so well isn't the hours he spends practicing or natural talent... no, no, it's the heli kit.

If I get the right kit, that will make me a better pilot.

The argument is like an elementary school kid that thinks a different brand of shoes will make you a great basketball player. And it shows as much maturity.

Manufacturers sponsor good pilots to sell more machines. Just like Nike paid Michael Jordan to wear his shoes. There are always going to be people who think that because a guy is paid to fly a machine, the machine has to be good.

Frankly, any of the 3D masters can outfly most of us with an old Kyosho Concept .30

I'm sure Todd & Matt will enjoy filtering through the off-topic dribble in this thread while trying to see what Synergy supporters would like in their next release.

Once again, I'm eagerly looking forward to a scaled down N9 (N5).
More of a good thing, just in a smaller package.

Bring it on guys!!

Tell that to the guy who started spouting out his blowhole about the 700 and the competition, implying that it was a better heli . . . Hint: That wasn't me, I was just trying to correct the inaccuracy . . .

IMHO the only Synergy parts that are overpriced are the gears. I'm sorry but $18 each for tail gears is ridiculous. I can get (2) delrin gears for an Aurora for $7. And $50 for a main gear is a little steep as well. If they brought these parts down to the level of the others it would help a great deal.

They also need to incorporate some of the new SE parts in the base kits. The new tail hub, engine hub, and TT system (when available) should all be included in the standard kit.

Yep, I said the 700 was a better heli alright, lmao All I said was 700N won the masters, whoptie do, its a fact whether you like it or not. Does it mean its a better heli? No, but like I said and again like I said, it is a popular heli that people are going to compare helis like the Synergy, Hirobo, X-cell to now. The main reason for my initial post was to give a reason why the thread started talking about Align. Could have been very well started talking about X-Cell or Hirobo just as easily.

and I'm sure Todd and Matt are checking this thread on the edge of their seats of exactly how to improve the line as well. If you really wanted to put in a suggestion a email or a phone call is much more meaningful.

Sorry for the conservatives who like to just 'stick to the topic' with double starched shirts walking like frankenstein and not saying anything else about anything else.

I'm unquestionably sold on the Synergy's quality. But I also like the lighter weight of the Trex700 (about 1 lb less). That makes a huge difference in performance and feel in the sky.

Sam, Look at this for a very light Synergy. This guy has shaved some weight from it.

I would love to fly it and see how she handles.

Weight of the heli really depends on your flying style. For lots of pops and locks and fast tight transitions, a light heli is great. But for bigger sky stuff and a heli that fights the wind better, the little extra weight is good to have.

My N9's never felt heavy in the air to me but I'm not into the crack style of stuff that seems popular now. I prefer the bigger stuff and always felt my N9's tracked very well and flew extremely fast. I have moved to the darkside for now but would not hesitate to own another N9 (hopefully with cheaper gear prices ).

We are over due for a sexy looking 50 size heli. If the N5 will have a scaled down version of the N9, I will be ecstatic. I hope the N5's canopy will not be shortened up similarly like the Logo 500 vs 600, and certainly not like the Vibe 50. Ugly canopies in my opinion.

I do like the RJX heli, though.

Where do you guys get the quality bit from! the Synergy is made from some of the lowest grade metal you can get and as for the machining the quality leaves a lot to be desired. The price of tail gears for one is a total rip off.I am not saying Align is perfect far from it but the quality and machining of the parts is as good if not better and a dam site cheaper than Synergy.Just my two cents worth.

I own both Synergy and Align. My Align is great, but not at par with my Synergy and Im going to list details because Im not going to start another Synergy vs Align war. Im not sure I would aggree with the Synegry has "lowest grade metal". Ive owned other helis that had way worse metal. This is just my thoughts, that all
