Does anybody know if the stock clunk line provided in the kit is Hayes fuel line?

If it is, those of you that used it, did you cut it short to allow for the expansion that Hayes fuel line is known for????

I need quick answers please. I finally have the time to build the damn heli and I am on a roll.

Thanks!!!

I don't think it's Hayes. Pretty sure it's not. It just doesnt feel the same.

I put the stock line in, and I havent noticed any expanding of the line.

Oh, and if you use the stock stuff, put a tie-wrap around it to keep it from sliding of the brass tube. I learned the hard way

By doubled you did the adding of a small bit of fuel line on top of the nipple part?

Yeah, thats doubling.

But the thing with this style tank setup, you have these thin brass tubes.
It's not a nipple, so the fuel line is free to slip off. I think the solution is just to get it really tight, and a tie wrap seems like the only way to get it tight.

Will the tie wrap have any issues with the fuel?

I believe the Avant fuel tank is PVC.
Tie wraps are either made from nylon or pvc. Sounds ok to me.

If you have the right size brass tubing you can cut a small slice of the next size (slip fit) tubing and solder it on making a nipple to hold the fuel line . This along with doubling will prevent any slipping.

Highly addicted to carbon fiber.....

I used ss wire and used special twisting pliers the kind they use in the aircraft industry you just have to make sure you don't get it too tight and cut the tubing.
