So, heres the story. I got my HBK2 in the mail yesterday. I was able to plug it up, turn it on, and turned the throttle up to about 50%, but didn't take off. Powered down and went back to the sim. I took my heli to work this morning, and tested to make sure the servos worked without the motor plugged in. They were fine. Unplugged the battery, hooked up the motor, and plugged in the battery... then got whacked in the arm by a rotor blade. Instinctively I unplugged the battery.

I thought I was dumb for plugging it up with idle up on, but it wasn't. Throttle and throttle trim was all the way down. Tried it again (arm out of the way this time) and the same thing happened. Tried taking out the crystals in the remote and receiver and resetting them. Tried again. This time the motor would power on in spurts every few seconds, but now none of the electronics work.

So, I haven't tried turning it on with the motor hooked up, but now none of the servos work. I plug in the battery, gyro starts initializing, then blinks instead of staying on. None of the servos move or make any sound when I hook up the battery. I've unhooked the gyro and plugged it back in and made sure everything was in the receiver tightly. But nothing. Could my ESC be shot? Or the Rx maybe?

I am a newb so Im not sure but do you have your inverted toggle forward or backwards on the top left? If its in the wrong position the thing will automatically go to 80% power for inverted flight on the honey bee king 2.. I have the same heli and mine did that...

There should be a throttle hold switch on the TX, the factory setting is -5 to insure that ESC arms but the motor won't start. The rest sounds like a TX-RX signal problem, the gyro will start to intialize when its powered up, but blinks because it hasn't recieved the gain setting from the TX.

Check your futaba conectors to make sure there not backwards, the center wire is the positive, if reversed the power comes on but theres no signal from the pulse wire.

Check all the nobs and switches on the TX making sure there in the start positions, switches are usualy up, or away from you.

One more thing, with the power on, manualy try to move a servo horn, analog servos are very quiet, if it resists there's power but no signal.

are you using a stock e-sky TX???there is no throttle hold on those....move your post over to the e-sky forum, there are a ton of people over there(including myself)who fly the HBK you will get LOADS of help

are you sure you put the crystals back in properly??you need to put the throttle trim to 0 on some models to get the esc to arm...is the battery fully charged??

Thanks for the replies. I got a new esc and it works fine. I was thinking maybe the stock ESC can't handle my bigger battery... So far looking fine with the stock battery, just got some adjustments to make. Nose is turning right, its drifting left, and moving backwards

Remember not to trim the tail, do a mechanical adjustment, the gyro needs to initiate at center, if you trim it that will be the new center for the gyro and you will never get control of the tail.

the e-sky gyro is set up like the telebee and G90 (actually you didn't say which gyro)but if it is, you DO need to use trim with these gyros,I have set up a few(e-sky/g90/telebee) and they are set up different than a futaba/logitec/hitec where trim is a BIG no.on these gyros the only way to eliminate servo "creep" in HH is with rudder trim
