I need some clarification. Looking through the manual it repeatedly states to use blue locktite on threads and screws unless otherwise stated, use red locktite. Does this mean to use the blue locktite on metal threads into plastic parts? I thought that was not common practice. Metal to plastic, CA was used. Any help will be very helpfull. Thanks John

The plastic on the aurora kits is a "harder" plastic than other kits. So it will be fine.Ive been using blue locktite into the plastic and its been fine for over 100 flights, and nothing has gotten soft from the use of it. With the balls into plastic(tail pitch fork ect) I would use a tiny tiny bit of blue, or some medium CA. Ive used both in these areas.

We had a field rep from Loctite visit my work to advise the engineering staff on the proper use of their products. I asked him if Loctite 242 and 272 were compatible and effective with plastic. His answer was "absolutely not". It causes local stress (swelling) and eventually fracturing of most plastics. Nylon, ABS, polycarbonate and Delrin are especially vulnerable. Using a plastic part that was exposed to Loctite would be very risky.

CA is the only adhesive that I use to adhere fasteners to plastic parts.

The other product that you can use for metal to plastic is:
Liquid Thread Lock - made by Tamiya.

Well Jason did say the plastic is not a normal plastic so it may be a different composition then the threadlock guy mentioned. You also said that he said "most" plastics. Maybe the Aurora is an exception and I think it is, since Jason has 100 flights in and no problems.

I have used the blue loctite on my EVO 50 plastic frames to loctite the bearings in and they have been like that for almost 3 years now. I know of one Full size aircraft mechanic that uses on the instrument guage screws to hold them in place on the full size planes.
