Here are the colors:
Neon chartreuse Neon honey Molly orange Fine orion silver Oriental blue kandy
I used all these colors on the following 2 canopies (with the exception of the oriental blue - I used ultramarine blue kandy and I used euro red on the tips of the highlighted stripes):

Its there - at the top you can see that its in silver on the checkerboard pattern. You can also see it on the belly of the canopy. Its hard to see because the illusion of the jagged edge folds over it. This is an awesome canopy and Dave put a lot of thought into it to get the illusions right.

Those are the colors I would use if someone wanted that canopy duplicated... I put up the canopies I had done recently so you can compare the colors to Dave's canopy.
Its going to depend what color you are using and what size canopy. If you are doing bright colors then white will be your base. By all means use a light colored primer if you are using white as a base or you will use more paint than you should. Are you ordering pre-reduced paint? My suggestion would be to not use pre-reduced paint and reduce it yourself. Anyhow - 2oz bottles of color should be fine. I'll use more white than anything else on my canopies. Dark colors cover extremely well.
