i would not trust it on an expensive plane, should work great for minor things like camera mount. although i have the 9g servos.

Their 9g servo was reported by one as a current hog (0.5amp) causing spektrum brownouts with 4 of them. Be sure to check with a inline servo current meter like the one Horizon or DimensionEngineerins makes to be safe.

I bought 2 of these off of RCU for my rc cars, 1 of the servos would not center for nothing, the other 1 i use a throttel servo on a heli.
i think i paid like 25.00 for each. would not use them again tho.

Hey I didn't ask for this fetish.!!!But I'am sure paying for it....

If it was $25, then it did get much cheaper at $8
Even if it does not work, it is impressive for a metal geared full servo at $8.

If it is a true knockoff, the casing and the metal gears from it maybe worth the price of the whole servo (even if it did not work).

lol,red you're funny Bro but im with you on that,i sure would hope that the case and gears would work for other good servos like futaba hitec or jr,

not saying that i would use them on a high quality servo like the expensive ones but im saying maybe the standard servos, you could use the metal gears and bearings to upgrade a futaba 3003 or similar for only $8

cheap servo

Hi Buddy, just remember, garbage in, garbage out, if you buy cheap you buy twice, why chance it, even if you put it in something thats a beater, and don't care if it crashes, I would be more worried about losing control and crashing into some one or some thing. there are plenty of name brand servos out there for under 25.00, that are good quality, and reliable.....

Regards.

very true Bud,i agree with you 100% i really didnt want to chance it but i just thought they would work alright for a camera mount, however i thought they would be ok for a beater planker but now i realize that they're too cheap to even try them, not to mention the hazard they represent

i have seen some good spektrum aka JR 821 servos go for about $50 to $60 for four of them and im sure they are way better servos than the cheapy ones in question here

do a quick search on here and u will see that these servos are Sh*t they are not recomened in a heli over a 30 and also i have seeen them fail inflight on planes such as a 40 size trainer plane doing nothing but circuits but they still failed these are some of the worse servos u can get

I think these are the HC servo's I've seen in action here. They sucked a lot (in a heli) and the controllability went way up when they were replaced with Hitec HS635 (analog, 3-pole motor servos).

My opinion, do a lot of research before trusting them in an aircraft you care about.

These servos will not last....trust me....I admit that I have tried them. They will get very jumpy and jittery within a small amount of time. Honestly, I would rather use the bottom of the line name brand servo than any one of these in anything that leaves the ground.

and for not much more I've used the HS-475's which are pretty strong

http://servocity.com/html/hs-475hb_super_pro_bb.html

I ran these on the tail of a Tribute-36 and they performed very well on a 5-cell pack even with the controls at the max physical limits.

^ in reference to which servo?

FWIW...tower's double the warranty on their stuff.

BTW...the HS-475's has a higher tork but slower than the HS-325HB.

My guess is you'd find the HS475 to be quicker under a real world load as it won't get bogged down as quickly. I have found that Hitec servos run all run much better with 6V so no matter which one you get it'll be better with a higher voltage pack than the typical 4 cell RX pack. I think the perfect pack for Hitec's would be 2S A123's but I have not tried this as I don't have a charger for them and my focus has been on other projects <-- more random thoughts from me.

For Hitec, get the 475hb as a everyday cheap servo as it comes with much stronger karbonite instead of nylon. If you need a little more, you can go with 635hb.

thanks Bud,i am researching the diferent servos,i am comparing them all and torque is a must but speed is also important, ill see what i can come up with,

watch me get the worst servos in the end,

i hope not,im hoping to get some good reliable servos, ill have to somehow balance speed and torque to end up with the ideal servo for the project
