I took the A-Frame to take out the SZ head and replaced it with a Viperhead. Even with the A-frame out, the bottom glow plug was tough to install. I believe it will be impossible to install/remove the bottom plug with A-frame installed.

How is some of you installing the 2nd plug on your Stratus?

Hey Misio, was that mixture servo plate custom cut or what? I've been looking for a way to mount a mixture servo just to play around with the mixture control on the MultiGov and yours seems to be the best looking setup.

Also, why aren't you running the frame stiffeners?

yes that is "CUSTOM" - home made plate, is not the best but it works

Thanks. I was going to slot the bottom of the plate for access. I guess that is a good idea anyway since you can use it to fire the glow.

Did you chop off the bottom of the fan shroud? How is the lower end of it secured? Is it free hanging?

Stratus Viperhead.

I haven't modified the lowerplate.
I have change a 8mm Wrench a little, so A can use a Glow socket.

On the lower right side picture, you can see how a have install a Hitec 65 for the Carb.Smart.
It does not look good, bur has worked for over 200 flight:-)

On my other Straus I have made a Alu plate, allmost like Misio did....

Benny, we change plugs so infrequently (maybe once a year) that I just remove the A frame. It only takes a few minutes.

Here is my solution. CF plate was dremel drum sanded. A-frame was Milled at an angle.

I don't know if that would work, it's not a very direct shot without a mod like benny's...you'd have to bend bend that driver pretty good to get it up there (that's what she said

) (sry guys! hahaha)

I took the viperhead off my C-spec because it was a pain to change/check that bottom plug--and w/o mods (or maybe that flex driver) you have to remove the aframe...replaced it with an SZ head. Had the sides of the SZ head machined to fit in the fan shroud...so far seems to run almost as good!
