Great event!! I had a lot of fun drag racing my Outrage G5 and flying my Knight 600E. Everyone was really nice and friendly out there. I will be back next year for sure.

I only came by for a few hours on Saturday and it was fun seeing the 3D demo flights. After watching that I got my camera and took a few pictures during the auto rotation contest.

Does anyone know the names of the two guys pictured here?

This event turned out very well. I would like to thank everyone who came out and all the volunteers who put the show together. The event was a lot of fun, a lot of flying, and some great food. Jamie, Dylan, Creighton and yes even Ron had some excellent Demos.

I guess I missed the rules on how to do drag racing. I thought we were supposed to see how fast we can fly vertical instead of horizontal. We will get it right next time.

Now that we have more heli pilots involved putting this event together we can start working on making next year better including trying to make it less dusty.

It was a good time for sure.
All of the organizers did a fantastic job.
A friend of mine and myself were the driving force behind starting this event 7 years ago and I am very pleased to see it evolve into the gathering that it has.

In all that time I had never "called" at the drag races before. I am a bit horse, a day later, but what a lot of fun!!

Argue for your limitations and sure enough, they're yours

Oh man! talk about smoke and mirrors!

you guys really pulled that off! I was standing right there and never suspected a thing.
Both of you did an incredible job of covering your tracks.

This one is in the record books for sure.

I still can't stop laughing!

And Lloyd's reaction to you not being on the pilot roster after your flight was hilarious too..
I don't think I'll ever forget this flight.

ROFLMAO!!!!

Thanks,

The real fun was planning it!

Jammie,Dylan & I had been wanting to try to pull it off starting 3 fun flies ago and it simply made since to pull it off in Austin since Justin Moore and Jay Richards were there and tall enough.

I really wish I/we would have anticipated Loyd doing his
theatrical rendition of "moments of the unholy dance." on film so Creighton could have done a fade~out / fade~in kinda of thing.

so it is what it is.
Just plain hilarious!

Rings new meaning too " look mom no hands"

It's been tried two other times by others at fun fly's in the past
years ago and I'm glad that we are the gang that really did pull it off and pulled it off close to perfection.

It could have never been done with out the help of my good friends.

And yes, it is for sure in the history books.
----------------------------------------------------------------

Just a word of caution to anyone in the future.

It has to be done in a safe way and is a real testimony to Jammie's dedication to safety with the AMA in consideration, and to have fun at the same time. You see, I wanted to do a far away pilot deal and Jammie
knew that depth perception would be unsafe so he and Dylan talked me out of that

When Loyd asked Dylan who was flying, Dylan kept a straight face and said Ron Wedel, Loyd's expression on his face was "Oh Sh!t" he went right to the roster and was flipping through the pages saying he did not pay, he can't be out there flying. Dylan and I was doing our level best to keep from laughing.

Lots of fun being a part of this

That is frikkin' hilarious!! Ron, you even kept a straight face when I made a wisecrack about your body english and how I expected you to put the TX behind your head like a rockstar guitar player.

Way to go guys, what a great gag. I'll definitely be laughing about this one for a while.

Well, I just had a thought!

I know, " Oh no, not again "!@

What if we could recreate Loyd's reaction

Na on second thought, Only Loyd is Loyd.
