I actually saw that movie.. The title of the movie is "The Bridge". Quite powerful, indeed. Especially considering where I live. I live not too far from the bridge, actually about a 15 minute drive thru the city. I see it pretty much everyday at a distance. And yea, It's said that there's about one jumper a day at the bridge. They've debated about building a fence, but it'd just cost too much money to erect and maintain, so that went out the window. Also, people come from all over the USA to jump off the bridge. If they're willing to go to that extent, a fence isn't gonna stop them from doing what they intend to do. And they don't necessarily need a bridge to do it either, let alone the golden gate... sad movie, but very surreal. Especially since I see the bridge every day. |
