| I've read pages upon pages about why the Align ESC governor mode is worthless, useless, teh SuXXorZ, etc., but I had to try it. 35G ESC, 430L, 11T, TP 2200/25C.
Tached 2800/0º, set a flat curve at that point (83%) and gave it a shot.
Why does everybody hate it so much? For my current flying style - circles, 8's, FFF, piro'ing FF, puchouts - it seems to work fine. Judging from the motor sound, it holds RPM better than my curves did. I did get it to bog on a full collective punch from a through-the-wash descent, but that's all. The motor and ESC even seemed cooler than usual afterwards.
Is it really only detrimental to more aggressive, aerobatic stuff, or was I just lucky? I've only done the one flight in gov. so far.
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you... |
