It happened on my logo 500 3D, the tail case tabs came off. Maybe it was from me weakening them during assembly/disassembly.

I decided to order the tail upgrade (carbon) has anyone else fitted this? If so please post a pic.

Looking back it was kinda funny, i took off and after a 5min flight i landed and noticed the tail on a 45deg angle!!! But it seemed that the the boom slipped from the main frame side and not really from the tail case slide.
If the tail leaned anymore it would have been interesting.


What would make the boom slip mid flight? I can't move the boom by hand when its clamped.

I don't quite understand which tabs you are referring to. Do you mean the ones inside the frames or the ones inside the tailcase? I am not sure how it would move if you can't move it by hand.
I have the CF open tailcase on my Logo 103D and it coes standard on the Logo 6003D (I have one of those also) as for fit, they both go together very well and work great. You should have no problems fitting it to your Logo 5003D......Ron

Hi sorry i mean the half moons in the tail case.
I do recall i had trouble with the tail shaft when fitting the bearings, it could have slightly bent it.
I am concerned why the tail decided to move after about 10 flights.

I also have a 600, i like the open tail case better.

Yeah that is very strange. I have no idea what could have caused it other than a defect. The open tailcase is nice, you will like it.
