Anyone know, or heard rumor if Align will be coming out with 700E anytime soon??? Or a conversion kit??

I have the opportunity to talk with the Align guys every now and again, and the word I got was that Align does not plan on an electric version....They think the price of a 12S battery would be too prohibitive.

And I agree with them. Hell, good 3D batteries for the 600E are prohibitive!!

any body that has a trex 500 on 6s already has batteries for a 12s setup.that's what i use. 2 2500 packs or 2 3200 packs and you can still use them in your 500 double duty.

I don't really know what would be gained by a 700 version. with a 12s setup in a 600 with 620 blades 14/14 pitch and 2500 headspeed it's absolutley insane what more could anybody use.i think cnc grips and more headspeed more then makes up for the lack of disk diameter. plus a 700 version would surely be alot heavier.
alonger boom kit would be nice though to help tame the tourqe a 12s setup can generate.

They should just make one, there are plenty of 600 owners and I am sure 90% of them have more than 1 lipo!

I have enough for 2 x 16S flights!

16S on the 700E would be the bomb?! 67.2V fully charged!!!

Too bad ESCs can't handle that

HV series only handles 50V.

I am looking at the latest RC Heli mag with the Align add in the front two pages. The 600e is not there in the "family". I just believe right now its the red headed step child of the lineup and that there is no 700e in the near future. But when has that EVER stopped people, us, and the after market companys, from taking the lead and building it anyway. I have 700 yet but there must be a way to hybred a 600 with 700 stuff. LOL

plenty of people would be willing to buy lipos for a 700.
just cruise over to the maxijoker forum or look at the guys paying to do e-conversion on their scale helis.
there is a market but just maybe not the mass-market align go for.

if align don't do an E version, then you can bet your life someone will make a conversion kit.
if not I will make my own very soon!
