Well I brought my mail scale home with me from work and sat each heli on it to see how they stack up.

Weight with all gear except battery
Rex450SE = 625g
MiniT = 680g
Mostly stock King2 = 365g

And while I have the scale out ...
Futaba 7C = 785g
Futaba 6EX = 725g

I wish I had my main King in one piece, as it weighed a bit more ... I think the last time it weighed 530g without battery. It is all that Align and B400 stuff on there

TREX with all gear except battery: 583g
AUW: 757g Before the all-metal head and A/R bracket, AUW was 754g

DX6i with batteries, no strap: 726g

Funny...the DX6i is essentially the same weight as the 6EX, but a lot of people say it feels lighter than other tx's.

It's certainly lighter than the Eclipse was. That thing was a brick.

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you...

How are you guys weighing? Without a battery, my HBK2 needs to rest on the vertical fin and the skids. My scale isn't that large.

My weights for helis are without battery. I had to lay the king on its' side to get it to stay on the scale. The Rex teetered but stayed and the Mini will simply stand all day long without a battery.

OK, finally got a good measurement. My HBK2 without battery is 450g.

This includes
Stock Canopy
Align blades cut down to 275mm
Esky 3800
CNC head and tail
The rest is stock

Last time I weighed my main King, it weighed in at 680g with an FMA 2100 pack. Since I know those are 150G, that put it at 530g. That included ...

stock frame, purple head, 4x s3114, Align skids, 3900, Dynam 30A, 3A BEC, stock blades, stock canopy, b400 gear

Or maybe it had a Mega Power in it ... I bet it did and those were 179g. That would put it at 501g. Whatever ...

Honestly, I don't have 100% confidence in the scale I used. It was on sale at Habour Frieght so picked it since my current scale is too small to measure a heli. I need to get a better scale. Any suggestions?

Oh and BTW, why I was at HF I picked another IR temp gauge and digital caliper, both on sale. The new temp gauge is the large pistol style laser guided. It as much more narrow IR beam and wider temp range.
