That statement is wrong in so many ways. So, the auto manufactures that dump millions into auto safety, the DOT that dumps millions in road safety, and the countless number of other organizations that spend time and money on auto safety is not a peep??

The thread wasn't intended to make a bold political statement or solve the worlds problems, jeez lighten up dude.

40 to 50 thousand deaths per year in this country in cars and not a peep.
Accidental deaths caused by Physicians per year is 120,000, not a peep.
One guy flying a heli and you're ready to flog him.

That's NOT what I call logic.
That's what I call a knee-jerk reaction.
Or maybe just selective ignorance.

Your logic is seriously flawed. The guy CHOSE to fly in a crowded area with children and others nearby. That was a dumb move, and sir you defending him is illogical?

See I told ya, Something bad was going to happen soon. All the safety police will come out of the wood work. Weed eaters, Lawn mowers, Chain saws, Cars, Motorcycles, Hot air balloons, real helicopters flying over populated cities when at any time something could go wrong at any time. But one RC helicopter goes wrong and it will ruin it for all of us?

If it doesn't fly sell it!

AirWolf, admit it, you're just looking for a conferentation today aren't you? I knew it. I know that nobody would agree that what that guy did was good or represented our hobby well.

Let your flying do the talking - don't talk about your flying

That's exactly the kind of failed reasoning and misplaced priorities that I'm talking about. You FALSELY ASSUMED that I was defending him in your effort to support your position, a position that flatly ignores the statistics that I mentioned where drivers and doctors CHOSE to do what they did.

Like I said . . . . selective ignorance . . . .

Ive listened to that dog before. Not a peep? Lots of people, resources and effort is applied to help minimise those problems. You make sound like those issues dont get any press or attention. No they dont get much print here because this is a HELI form. The point of the thread is the poor choice and total disreguard for safety that guy in the vid showes. You bring up valid issues but honestly there are lots of other places I can learn about them. Ruff ruff ruff.

That vidio is not in the U.S. , not that we don't have a few of our own idiots. Wonder where it was ? Some countries have a much higher tolerance of unsafe practices. Not enough lawyers yet.

99 percent of lawyers give the rest a bad name.

I'm not saying that I'm for what's in the video.
I'm saying that there much more important priorities.

Well, you people can go on stroking each other.
I can't handle your ignorance and mis-placed priorities.
I'm leaving this sewing circle.

this is a big noob mistake. plain and simple. true anyone who has been flying for a while wouldnt attempt something like this because after experience you realize what could happen...being a newbie to flying you are unaware of the risks. theres a daycare next door to me; the house is approximately 100 yards away and STILL if the kids are outside playing i dont fly. they used to all come out and watch me fly when they heard my 90 and i would just land it and go back inside. now they just stick their faces as close to the windows as they can to watch. funny seeing 6 or 7 heads pressed against the window over there watching it

But yet you fly at a regular field with others and their kids well within 100 yds ?

That sounds logical . . . . NOT !

Same ole song and dance my friend. You seem to not grasp this is a HELI form, so thats why we are commenting on the vid. If we were at a MEDICAL form or a AUTO SAFETY form and someone posted this vid, WE WOULD ALL BE IN AGREEMENT WITH YOU, but alas we are not.

I see airwolf is spewing his babble of nonsense again what a toad. That guy flying there was a idiot not the safest place to be flying for sure. Personally I feel if there were any pareant around and they didnt walk up and say something they are just as guilty and bad as the guy with the heli.

I'm curious, how many documented injury/deaths from RC heli's are there and in what countries?

The bottom line is having fun.

Airwolf is a moron. Must we discuss all of the worlds dangers when we discuss any single one? Of course not. This is a heli forum, let's focus.
