I think Align should just send all their stuff to me for testing first this way I can have the answers for you guys before they are asked.

I have the 700N bug now I can't wait to hear how this engine does so I can know which way I will be going.

I have looked every where and this motor is not for sale any where and every one I ask they say it could be a long time before we see it. Is this true?

Fortunately I have a friend who goes to HK a lot so I will have him get me one once they are available. Wonder what they will bundle into the 700NSP kits for the USA once available?? AN OS-HZ then?

Got mine installed today, my Brother in Law shipped me one from Hong Kong. They are out but take some looking for. Looks a great engine, I got the HP Blue head version, not run yet as waiting on a main gear as mine was damaged in the box. Will report when its running :-) Not sure where he sourced it from.

Century (in HK) list them:

but say they are out of stock. Hopefully not for long!

Can anyone tell for sure which of the align engine is identical to o.s engine ?
Which one is the SZ and which one is the HZ ?
Do you think the viper head from the SZ will fit them ?

Thanks,
Roei

I believe the Align engines are both the new HZ just with either a smaller black or larger blue head, h/hp version.

Align has updated their site with the engine parts.
Looks like the piston of the 91H is the same has the new O.S HZ with the little holes on it.
Now, I wonder if the 91HP is the same?

Since you have the new 91HP, can you tell if it has the piston with
the holes on it ?

Thanks.

The HP is the same. I have mine installed in my 700 and checked the crank, piston, double O rings etc before placing it in the heli.

Hope this helps,

Yes the new Align version is for sale in the US. I bought one in California.

Yes, the Align version was out first.

Yes, OS will also release a pumped version but Align will not...at least not for the time being.

Yo MJ,

Have you flown yours yet? How does it perform?

It pulls like an absolute train. Super easy to tune up and so far very reliable, unless your clunk line splits :-), as mine did during inverted 10 foot fly by, got away with just one damaged gear strut :-). 3 gallons in now and very happy, would recommend.

That sounds great. I must say that I am very happy with my 91SZH - it tunes very easily and runs very consistently and the power should be same the - at least on paper.

However, I am keeping my old Raptor 90 for F3C so I plan to buy the new engine for my new 700N. Now to find the $$$ .

Seen both the Align and the OS at IRCHA. I asked Andy from Align if they were going to import the engine now he said yes they would be in a combo 700 kit (plus the muffler). A sponsored pilot I talked with had the Align in his and stated the Black head was the better of the two. OS was there also and had the same engine and I believe he said they would be out next month (September.)
