I used the same one that I have for my T600. Works great!

Remember - the 600 swash leveler will sit on the top of the ball links instead of making contact with the swash directly. I don't think this is a big deal, but you need to make sure that you remove any excess plastic left from the molding process from the top of the ball links so you can make sure it's level.

You don't need a swash leveler on the Aurora.

Unless the Aurora sets up itself you need a swash leveler. How else can you tell the swash is level though out its travel.

Just do it.

I use this type, works on any heli (within .30 -> .90 size)
No need to take head off or anything either

For non Vbar machine you can eyeball it fairly good & tweak at the field, but for VBar:ed machines since you cant trim on the radio its a must, unless of course you like to the extra weight of the PC in your fieldbox

Trex600 swash leveler, works a treat, all points sit on the swash arms not balls.

To every action there is always opposed an equal reaction

Hey Mr Mel?

Give me a Pm sometime, I will try to explain the swash leveling process.....Much more to it than just adjusting the swash linkage!
I know you were only trying to help. That leveler won't work for the entire process!

I use two tools , part that one and then bubble version you put ontop.
I have perfect eCCPM setup (Thanks to Futaba high end radios)
Since you can make sure you dont get any interaction regardless of travel (high/low, full aileron etc)

However, On VBar you dont need perfect eCCPM since Gyros will fix it, then only leveled swash is needed.

Ive seen people selling their "crappy flying machine" just because they forgot/didnt know about EXP=ACT under the swashmenu on their JR radio....

MrMel

Im not starting a debate, but I am curious? (Take Vbar out of the picture, no one metioned it) You are correct in that the swach "EXP" should be "ACT"....thats a given for some of us. In fact, interactions that take place during the full travel of the swash, have nothing to do with the position of the swash when it stops at the top or bottom of the full collective travel. The fact is, servos are not exactly alike. Tolerence's just not close enough. (8717's included) Also, how the servos are mounted in the frame has nothing to do with the "quality" of CCPM mix in the radio (futaba or JR). All that said, Im still confused by your comment. It sounds like you are saying that you dont need to set the endpoints of the cyclic servos to get the swash level at the top and bottom of the swash travel? And you base this on ccpm mix?....Explain?

IF this is so, your swash is NOT level!

??
Que, Where did I say that?

Endpoints is one thing, to make sure swash is leveled through out range.
Then, if you have a futaba radio you follow this.

Anyway, Feel free to explain why a snap-on swash leveler isnt good.

Depending on your radio. If you have DX7 then you have no choice but to do end points. If you have however a high end radio like Futaba 14MZ, end points are not touched. It has a swash detail program that eliminates all interactions in the swash.

Just do it.

Yes I should have mentioned, DX7 radio!.....Sorry for the confusion....The question should have said which "Tool"
Thanks everyone for the input....sounds like the 600 leveler will work!

Just be careful, the aurora main shaft is VERY soft, one scratch and it will leave on heck of a mark (my phase guide actually totally locked because of a scratch on the main shaft made by the head)

If you feel any resistance, do not try to force it, back out and sand.
