So It's taken a while but finally finished it and I'm very happy. I bought this TT A109 fuse in USA on my way home to New Zealand after the southern rotary classic at Mt pleasent last year.
But got bogged down at work so anyway It looks great, I think I'm hooked on scale now as well.

Will have first flight this weekend can't wait.

I used my Raptor 60 with os70, Been using it for AP for a while got heaps of grunt so should be fine.

Used Lazertoyz lighting system 2 strob, 2 green, 2 red, 4 landing lights that I switch on and off with my radio, cool gadget.

I run the lights, landing gear and switchglow from a seperate Batt to play it safe.

have included some build and finished pics for ya all to see.

Cheers
I think this deserves a drink

Stephan

Nice

I am up to the stage where all the retracts are done, and the wood work is ready to be fixed into the Fuse.

I am still waiting for a nice day to setup the Raptor 90SE.

Lights from LazerToyz
http://www.ncweb.com/biz/dan/RCLights.html

They are very bright and easy to install and I like the controllable landing lights. I've never tryed any others though to compare.

how did you get on with the retracts,

i have struggled with them, i would get the rear pair correctly set up and not binding, but the front would bind, so i adjusted the front, and then it knocked out the syn oc of the rear

i have finally managed to get it right, but i put them into the fuse last night, and now they catch on the main frame and jam,

did any of you have this problem and have to trim the fuse slightly ?

Retracts are a complete bind, especially if you run all the servos off of one channel. I managed to get a channel splitter from Midland Heli, this allows you to indivisually set the end points for each servo even when running off one channel. It really helped on my Century 222.

Yeh the retracts are not easy to setup it took me a ages several night actually and the final outcome was pretty good. I couldn't get the back wheels to come up or down exactly together at the same speed and time but very close almost unnoticeable, and the front I had no problem with just adjust the placement of the linkages on the 2 main throw arms heading to the front wheel and it should work out fine. I am very pleased with the final result on my heli they work great. With very careful placement of the wooden frame and retract unit the wheels will fit in the existing holes but I have heard that others just altered the holes slightly to fit I was lucky mine were fine.

Cheers

Oo and I forgot to mention, took her out for the maiden flight today. Took it pretty carefully ironed out some miner bugs and did some small close circuits. I'll get some vid up at some stage soon, I think shes gonna be a great heli.

Cheers

thanks for the post,

sorry to hijack the thread, but this is the only A109TT running,

i tihk you hit the nail on the head, making sure the frame and wooden former is fitted in the fuse correctly with no side movement,

i can get them to lift now, i just need to ensure it is placed in the fuse correctly.

thanks again

Matt
