Hey Guys,

I'll put this out here first, I know this probably doesn't belong here (wrong platform, wrong manufacturer), but since we all seem to get along, I'll post this here first. I'll also post on the scale forum as well. I got inspired with other's scale efforts here, and decided that I give it a go. This is my first scale attempt...
I've been working on (and still have some more to do until "first hover", but I think it's time to show) my scale Augusta 109 on a Rex 450 frame. So from the pics you can see what she looks like, I'm still working on mounting the frame (she's just friction mounted now). She also has the scale nav lights. The rotating beacons (on the top and bottom of the fuse) kept blinking in sync with the shutter, so I couldn't capture them on the dark pics. I do apologize if the dark ones suck, I'm still working on my photo skills.
Well here goes.....

I hope to paint her in this scheme once I know she flies well...

Hope these meet with your approval,

JC

That's very cool. I like the scale detail with the lights. Where'd you get the red-head?

"RED"

The head is form RC-Tec, it's off of the 450 Diablo. With this head I get +14/-14 degrees pitch. I wanted the red color to match the paint scheme. The pitch is a "bonus". I'm hoping to offset the fuse install with a hotter head. I'm running a AON 3500 for power on a 3s setup. She may have a little "overkill" in the hardware, but I'm trying to compensate for the weight and airflow reduction from the install of the fuse. She will be running 335's on her as well.

Nice job looks good so far little tip on the paint less is more learned that the hard way Ill be doing a little more research on paint this time I hear the krylon fusion is about the best. Its amazing how paint adds up Im probably gonna upgrade my king to the JGF400 for my new scale build with 288mm carbons. They fly like a different creature when scale the tailheavy king gets even more tailheavy keep the electronics as far forward as you can should be Ok with a rex frame.
