Just wondering what you guys thought about the EXI MA450. Ive been thinking of getting one of these. They are cheaper than the trex and im not exactly sure if i will like the electrics. Thanks

Pictures were taken from xheli.com and belong to xheli.com.

Looks like another trex 450 clone.

There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."

A friend of mine has one, it's just like the T-rex and flies the same. Seems like a good deal.

MA450

I just got one. It has what seems like good quality parts. I had to completely rebuild the heli. I don't trust any "ARF" heli. The downside is that the canopy is crap and the heli didn't come with instructions. I just printed out a set off one of the heli sites as a cross reference. It would be a total rip off of a Trex if they hadn't switched the orientation of the servos.

If parts interchange with a Trex I say go for it. If not how easy to get parts support?

No, the all metal one is $189.95. Still cheap though. They do have the $99 one also.

The only thing I did not like about the $99 one was the tail would tend to twist on the boom. This new one looks to have a better tail on it.

EXI 450 vs trex parts, DO NOT FIT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EXI 450 does not share some parts with trex. i needed a boom and belt, the exi boom is longer and of larger diameter, also trex belt is too short. how do i know? ordered carbon tail boom and drive belt, and guess what?, they don`t come close to fitting
so watch out. i may see if trex boom holder will fit exi frame?
i have the blinged out version, and tailbox also too big for trex boom. now i`ve got 2 new stock, and one carbon trex boom collecting dust, and forget about parts. ordered 2 drive belts, 4-6 weeks before i can get them, also most online outlets are out of stock on most necessary parts. so now my birds will collect dust, until parts arrive. so don`t believe everything you read. you`ve been warned !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The EXI 450 is pretty much compatible with the V2. There will be some differences but overall.. an excellent heli that flys great.

I agree that the canopy isn't the greatest either but I'm doing my EXI in scale so the canopy is going into the obsolete bin...

Personally I'm waiting for a sale here again soon, $69.00 and then I'll likely buy two... One for spares the other to fly wild.. lol

happy fly'n

Somethin had better fly!!!
