| Hi All,
Well, I have my Spartan installed and well tested. (I replaced my JR 770 3D) Here are the results:
- Gain: 36% which is 68% on my DX7 gyro screen ((68-50)*2)=36% - Gyro end point adjustments: High 85, Low 90 - Transmitter expo: 30% - Transmitter end point adjustments: 150 left and right. Even at max (150) the piro rate still isn't as fast as my JR 770 3D.
The improvements over my JR 770 3D are softer stops and no initial wag in nose down funnels.
An odd thing about my installation was that I required 4 clicks of subtrim to get a neutral signal the gyro would recognize. My JR required the same, except that I used three clicks of trim to get it to stop drifting.
My Spektrum must not have the rudder channel well centered. The nice thing about the Spartan is that it gives you two blinks when you're not at neutral and a solid light when you're at neutral. So it was an easy matter to get the sub trim dialed in.
No big deal, but contrary to popular opinion, this is a time when you need to trim a gyro.
Love the new gyro, but the JR was pretty good too.
Keep 'em flying.
