Greetings all!! I started to run in my RL53 with a Hatori Bobby Watts Special today!! Out the box a little rich on the low end needle, but burst directly into life. Started leaning out on the third tank from 3 turns out on the main needle. A great engine so far!!

No Sticky carb yet. I dismantled the carb first thing and found a little burr from the manufacturing process in the hole that holds the barrel screw, that was all but on reassembly I used a little blue loctite on the screws and was careful not to torque down the carb screws too hard as I have read in the forum

Be sure to install the second linkage on the carb barrel horn to have dual linkages to the servo. This virtually suspends the carb barrel and prevents excessive wear that causes the "sticky carb." But be sure to adjust the linkages so they are not both pushing down or pulling up on the barrel. Just keep an eye on it. Great performing engine with the Hatori SAB50. Even better with an automatic mixture control device.
