"It was formerly Perrin AFB"

Quote
I was born at Perrin back in the day while my pop was flying Phantoms from Uncle Sam. Rumor has it the flyboys used to hoist a few beverages and try and steal the beacon off the water tower.

But the Navy pilots got it done ...

That's great news, Torsten...

For the first time, I have found a reason to be glad that the American dollar is in the dumpster.... :-(

If Torsten from Germany and Dale from Norway are flying in I guess I can drive up from Austin for the day. With the Texas Longhorns playing the Oklahoma Sooners in Dallas that weekend IH-35 is going to be one long parking lot from AUstin to Dallas. I'll have to leave before sun up.

With the Torsten and Dale coming shouldn't the name be changed to the 2008 First Annual International AP Conference?

O.K..... We'll call it the 2008 First Annual Potentially International (But Maybe Just Regional.. in case Torsten Doesn't Show) AP Conference...

Or just the FAPIBMJRICTDSAPC for short ...... Just clear your throat and it will sound about right!

Count me in.

I'm coming from Dallas also - so I might be interested in the ride share idea Taylor. Depends on if I decide to bring any of my equipment - or if my wife is able to come with me.

I pulled the trigger and ordered my airline tickets. Southwest is running a special right now (They fly into Love Field).... from Albuquerque, round trip, including all the fees, taxes, and other nonsense it was $234.00

I arrive at 9:20 A.M..... and am still planning on running a "taxi service" to the lake site. The size of the vehicle I rent will depend on how many of you would like a ride, etc. etc.... so firm up your plans, and we can get this coordination stuff out of the way.....

What a great idea, now if only I lived in the USA then it would be fine, but travel costs from the rip off UK prevent me from comming over, such a shame as I really do think it will be a great blast.
Any guys in the UK reading this, maybe we should have a conference (piss up)

Ross

Seems to me that ALL heli's beat the air into submission
