I'm flying Radix on my 450, and I just love them, I haven't tried the hyperions, but the "feel" on the radix is more than I can handle!

alejandro,

Momma used to say, life's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get!

well the thing about woodies in texas is you will have to retrack your blades every 15-30min... no joke lol... the heat and humidity change so much during a day it would be painful to have woodies... plus the way i fly i would have a boom strike :/

hey i have a off topic question... i putting in a ar6200 in my 450... should i use the remote rx or take it off? also the esc looks like its mounted on the back of the frame... would that affect the gyro or rx? should i move it to the front or is it fine there?

I use a cyclic ring on a DX7, for a 450. As much as anything, it is to prevent a binding problem if I were to make a spastic movement into a corner with the throws maxed out. There may come a day when a gorgeous naked woman walks into your line of sight while you're stick banging. You wouldn't want an accident to spoil the experience. If you are happy with yours, for the 550, you will still be with the 450.

Most frequent mounting might be gyro under the boom block, receiver at the back, and the ESC up front under the battery. But other location combinations have worked just fine for many. Getting the fore/aft CG correct is often what determines where some guys put everything.

Leave the AR6200's remote connected. It adds very little weight, and can be stuck in several locations further than 2 inches from the main, quite easily.

alright kool... im used to flying with messed up cg because my hurricane has 600grams of battery right in the front lol... i like having the esc on the side for some more airflow because i fly alot of times when its close or at 100 degrees outside

Store bought.

Home made.

Some guys just fill the pocket under the block with foam. Others turn the block over so that the flat side is down. Some of those guys notch into the frame sides a bit, so that more of the gyro is directly under the block.

Servo tape, lots of servo tape. But secure it with a Velcro strap too.

hyperions are sweet...all i used to fly until i tried radix...now i only fly radix

michael, just flip your boom block and tighten it up...as far as your belt...the heli max belt for the mx400 is tough as nails (molded with kevlar) and is the same length as align...i have never had one of these belts wear out..i just replace em' every 100 flights or so on principle
