Boidman Key Veteran Location: Lipo Alley
| I use a cyclic ring on a DX7, for a 450. As much as anything, it is to prevent a binding problem if I were to make a spastic movement into a corner with the throws maxed out. There may come a day when a gorgeous naked woman walks into your line of sight while you're stick banging. You wouldn't want an accident to spoil the experience. If you are happy with yours, for the 550, you will still be with the 450.
Most frequent mounting might be gyro under the boom block, receiver at the back, and the ESC up front under the battery. But other location combinations have worked just fine for many. Getting the fore/aft CG correct is often what determines where some guys put everything.
Leave the AR6200's remote connected. It adds very little weight, and can be stuck in several locations further than 2 inches from the main, quite easily. |
