JR Heli Vibe - Airskipper - Sylphide - Venture > Few questions on Voyager 50

Just picked up first Heli, the Voyager 50. Heli is in great shape, may need a clutch or just some tightening. Wondering how hard parts are to get and what I should stock up on, like clutches, bushings, belts, etc.

Picked up at a great price so I could crash it many times and still come out on top.....hopefully this wont be the case. Have a friend to help me do some training. Anyone that has owned this heli, please let me know what the high-wear parts are and maybe I can stock up on some before they are long gone.

Thanks in advance.

PM sent. And welcome to Runryder!

Also, Heliproz still had a good selection of parts for it, last time I checked.

The Voyager50 shares many parts with current JR machines (Venture50, Airskipper50) so finding most parts will not be overly difficult.

The only Voyager specific parts are probably the frames.

Sounds good...if the clutch parts, belts, rotor fins all match up that's comforting. Was worried about the gears and clutches mainly.

Removed the motor to inspect the clutch, the nut was not secured properly and upon inspection, I noticed the cone washer at the fron of the motor was against the bearing with no washer in between the cone and front bearing....is this o.k, based on the manual there should be a washer, motor is O.S. 46.

Which washer fits between the cone and front bearing?

Horizon had no clue and O.S. engines support had no clue and both said the cone goes up against the bearing.

I would think not but I surely cannot find the washer anywhere.

I'm referring to a washer that goes onto the larger smooth part of the crank in the front up against the front bearing.

Obviously the person you talked to at Horizon has not been near an OS engine lately or JR manuals ...

Airskipper shown here but exact same thing for the Voyager.

I agree with mdu6 the person you talked to at Horizon did not look at the manual. I just looked at the on line manual and the manual that I have for my Voyager 50. Both show that the washer should be used. Tower Hobbies does stock the washer the part number for the washer is OSM46120000.

its called the thrust washer, and when you buy an engine new it is included.
