e-Electric Motors & Controllers > CC 35 or CC45 on a 450sev2

I was digging through my old paperwork for my r/c stuff. I found a 20.00 gift certificate to tower. I was looking around for something to buy from them. I settled on a CC Phenix ESC. I fly a 450se v2.

Should I get the 35 amp or the 45 amp. I was wondering how much more the added size and weight would effect me.

If I get the 35amp would that be large enough to support the scorpion motors? I was thinking on getting a 2221-8 or -6. Sticking with 3s 25C lipos.

The CC 35 should work but I personally would go with the 45.

The CC35 should work fine. But you may want to add a separate BEC.

I am using the Medusa 28-32-3400 Motor with the CC35 and a Medusa 2A 6v BEC. Performance is great with the 15t pinion.

Why, the BEC is not good on the CC35?

I did it for 2 reasons.

1 - It separates the power to the Motor and electronics. It allows the motor to use the CC35 and the electronics to use the BEC. If you were to overheat the CC35 the servos would still work even though the motor cut out.

2 - I wanted 6 volts. The CC35 is not 6 volts.

Oh that suks. I run all my servos through my stock ESC at 6v. I need it for my 9650 and hs-65's.
