I am running a TT53 and have been having problems with the seal in my header tank and was thinking of taking it off. Is there a real benefit to having it on or what???

It keeps the motor from starving or going lean if the clunk in the main line goes out of the fuel, its a bubble trap. Some helis don't come with them but I personally prefer to have one and added one to my 600n

Its realy up to you! It it is a good thing and bad thing all at once! Nice to have that reserve of fuel that you can see in plain sight! Some have argued that it keeps you from getting a constant fuel pressure which may cause your engine to fight rich and lean conditions, I dont know if this is true or not! The only true drawback that nobody can deny is that it is one more thing to complicate your already complicated heli! Like you said yours is leaking which is a easy fix! Its truly up to you! I ditched mine on my Raptor 90 3D to keep the fuel lins distance from main tank to pump as short as possible! Engine seems to run better especialy in the fine tuning of the needles!

Take offs are optional! Landings are not!

I have found that my os runs better with no header tank, but I do use one anyway so that my clunk has less of a chance of sucking air. In the end it is totally up to you whether or not you want to use one.

Use a fuel magnet if dont use a headder tank....that way you dont suck air when doing 3D

AMA #890376..... Flying Helis is like sex ...you dont have to be good at it to enjoy it....

I use Header tanks for peace of mind. Plus it gives an extra visual on the level of fuel left.

It can also worn you of a problem in the main tank. For example, if you are spending alot of time inverted and when you come down notice the header is 1/2 full you know there is a problem and the header is sucking air from the main tank. It could save your heli.
