My search did not bring me any luck in finding info on blades for a 600e. Since I screwed up when I ordered the wrong combo after looking at them for a month I need a set for general sport flying. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Rick

Radix Stick bangers. Stay away from the Radix non stick bangers.

I currently have the regular Radix 600s. I already ordered some RT 610s. They should be here tomorrow or Tues... I'll report back!

What is it about the standard Radix blades that you don’t like?

They are very slow and very heavy.

I currently fly the non TST V-Blades and I want to try out the Rotortech 610's. I heard they were the best. I like the V's because of their pop, but they are very harsh on the collective i.e. they bog down the rotor head a lot.

Wow, thanks a ton. I am suprised no one mentioned the Align blades. Thats what I have on my 500 and like them. I just ordered the RT 610's to give a whirl. Thanks, Rick

I don't know why I didn't either

They offer very good performance for their price. Fast cyclic and they don't bog too bad. The only downside is they don't auto too well.

I have herd several stories about align blades throwing their weights, is that somthing they have fixed with an update?

I like the Align's too but I recently purchased some ms composit 600mm blades and they're great. The heli feels like it tracks better and flys more accurate. I'll end up getting a set of rotortechs too. I've heard nothing but good things about them.

I got to fly the 610 C-tips today. All comparisons are against the Radix 600mm blades (standard, not SB) that I have.

Initial spool up RPM is much louder with the same settings. W/O changing the gov settings, they seemed to spin faster. I wish I had a second person to run the tach. I wound up dropping the gov % (CC PH-85HV) from 70% to 68.5% because of a gov induced tail wag at 70%. This fixed the wag. There was still tons of power and pop at the new setting. I may need to go from a 12T to a 13T pinion to get rid of the wag... most others are running the 13T with the 1910H/1Y. I tried a flight at 66% also, which sounds much slower, almost too slow, but the blades still had plenty of cyclic. The RTs seemed to keep their cyclic rates at different RPMs, while the Radix cyclic drops noticably with RPM.

Overall, cyclic was up over the radix, especially in aileron. The blades seemed more sensitive with less cyclic input, so some extra expo might be called for, but I am leaving it as is for now for faster tic-tocs, etc... The baldes seems to load the head less during full cyclic inputs. The Radix would turn my voltage alarm light on when entering full deflection aileron rolls (even at 0 pitch) at much under a full pack. The RTs don't do this. (Volt Alarm is set at 28V, or 3.5V/cell with my 8S packs, fairly high).

I will find out how much goes back in the packs next time I charge them, but they seemed to come down slightly cooler with the RTs. Probably true if they load the head less with cyclic. I am going to get a Quick UK swash to load the head even less because my Align swash's ball is overly tight.

Autos were not as good as the Radix, as is expected, but performance is still good. I can still do a gentle landing from a 60 mph low-level pass If I decide to try to learn inverted autos I will put the Radix back on.

I hope all this is helpful! I wish I had been able to use the tach or get some current data, but I don't have an eagletree and I'm too safety concious to fly with a tach in my hand.

The only thing I didn't like... the yellow is not as visible as white in the air.

Cheers,
Jason
