... does the Neu 1515/2.5D/F fit in the Logo 500? I am considering swapping my electronics from my T-Rex 600e to a Logo because I saw one at the field and I was stunned by the quality.

Thanks

1700

I am more concerned if it will fit because it is rather tall...

The KV is a little high for the Logo 500 gearing but I cannot advise on the fit.....Ron

It is roughly 70mm tall if that helps.

If it doesn't fit, which motor would you recommend for the most power on 6s?

For the MOST power on 6s, the new Orbit 25-8 Heli Expert motor seems to be the choice for now (I would go with a Mod .7 setup). I have never owned that motor so I cannot tell you from expeience but all of the "HOT 3D" guys here seem to be using it with great results.....Ron

How much does this motor cost. I don't want to spend another $300 on an e motor...

Damn. Assuming I could sell my Neu I would still end up paying like $100

Yeah it ain't cheap but you wanted the "most power". It costs to be the boss, ESPECIALLY in the RC helicopter world....Ron

Well let's think about this. Assuming that this Neu does fit in the frames, why couldn't I use it? The Logo 500 has a 215 tooth main gear so if I just used a 16 tooth pinion I would get 2500 headspeed. Whats wrong with that?

Nothing wrong with that but that would be a little high in the heaspeed arena. That heli really likes 2350 heaspeeds and assuming you could govern it down to get to 2350, would be running your ESC at ~<80%? 2500 headspeed is doable and it will be ok but I think you be pushing it at that headspeed. I am not positive but most pilots run the headspeed around 2100-2350.......Ron

Well I was just guessing that was the headspeed. So then like a 14 or 15 tooth pinion would work. Do you think you could measure how many mm of vertical space you have in the motor mount area before you hit the canopy?

I can but it won't be until tomorrow as I am at work and I do not get off until then. Maybe someone else could chime in??? OH! PM OICU812, he would either know or could measure for you today.....Ron

The 215 teeth main is the .5 mod, most people use the .7mod (153 teeth) on high power systems otherwise you may experience stripped gears.

I do not know if the .5mod pinion size goes down low enough for 1700KV.
Another good one is the new turbine motor 40/10L 8P from Hacker 1100KV 15T .7 mod pinion

wow! good information here! I don't want to hijack the thread but while I wait for a couple of rib eye's to smolder to perfection on the grille...I thought I would ask...I,m doing a e conversion of my unfinished Hirobo huey. It had the os .37 for power and i'm switching to electric. I want to run 6s and need suggestions on a motor and esc. just gonna fligh it scale. it has a flex shaft driven tail with a 77 tooth main gear so i'm pretty limited...any suggestions?
