| I had some 401sI sold them. Think of them as a cheaper version of a good gyro which you use to get the job done but you don't expect top performance from them. I flew one on my trex 450, but upgraded to a 770 for a constant pirouette rate. On the Spectra, I tried it before getting a 611 gyro, and it drifted besides not giving me a constant pirouette rate.
If you want a cheap gyro or your needs are not excessive, like a camera ship for example, a 401 is for you. If you want top performance, then go with something better. If you stay with Futaba, then the 611 is the logical choice. That's what I use on my Spectra-g now.
