| Guys, I recently tried the Kasama header on my YSSR in my Aurora, with the SB19. I used it on the first gallon of Curtis 30%, OS8 plug, 8:25 ratio, SAB 710 3D blades, 1850-1880 HS. After a some playing around with needle settings, I had some trouble with the engine running smooth in the midrange, mainly when loading the rotor disc with collective pitch. It ran excellent at full throttle in a climb. Of course I'm on the rich side with needles still, but not excessive.
I ended up going back to the stock header, and my midrange was much smoother. It was stumbling much more on the Kasama under a load, and I just could not tune it to make it run smooth in that area.
I am going to put a few more gallons through the engine, as I know it can take some time to breakin the YS and develope solid needle settings. I will then try the Kasama again. With quite a few running the header and posting great results, makes me want to try it again!
