Just wondering eeeeky, are you getting any type of interaction on your Raven? Could you try flying yours with a 1600HS and see what happens. I'm having a little problem with some interaction but I'm only running a 1600HS right now (don't need higher for what I'm doing and it has plenty of power to do everything... QUICKLY).

Trust me, It will handle much more. I had mine tach'd last weekend, I'm running ~2070 for 3D.

Question for you raven owners, what benefit would I get if I add the Gray "speed up gear"? I have one, but still have the old style black gear installed.

Oh I know it can, but I seriously don't need it. My cyclic is already insane (I'm running like 10 degrees or something) and I do have the gray speed up gear. With the head at 2100, the machine is a @#$%ing animal and to be frank, I'm afraid of boomstriking it. Further, with the 500cc tank and the low headspeed, I get really nice and long flight times (10+ minutes). It can do everything in the book with this setup, just requires some collective management which is what I'm really aiming to learn and master right now.

Good plan! I know I need to work on it too!

You're right it's an animal, lol! Very responsive!

I don't think it will boomstrike with the red dampeners. I do "stick banging" piro-flips (i'm still working on them) and tail slides and have never had an issue.

Actually i've never heard of a raven having a midair boomstrike... Anybody ever have/see one?

Although you may be right about raven's rarely boomstriking (if ever), how many people out there are running like 10 degrees of cyclic pitch? Did I mention that I'm pushing like 13.5 degrees of collective as well? With a 2100HS, full negative collective, full back cyclic, in a tail slide and terminal velocity... that machine is TOAST! I don't care if you have solid titanium dampeners, the blades will flex enough to take out the boom.

You've got to repaint the Raven canopy to match the Freestyle. As far as the one in the middle, I can think of a couple of things I can do with it.

How did you get so much cyclic angle? I'm only at 6 deg.

However my HS has to be at a crazy level with the speed up gear and OS50 on 30% at full throttle!
