| Hello,
I just finished putting the Vibe 50 tail rotor case on my Vibe 90. So far I have about 7 flights on it without any issues. The gear ratio on the Vibe 50 and also the Vibe 90 tail is 1:1 so the gear ratio stays the same.
If anybody is interested I will make some pictures and post it here.
As already mentioned, you need the coupler form the Vibe 50 and a longer torque tube. Te most difficult think is to get an aluminum tube with the dimension of 8 x 0,5 mm with the strength of the original torque tube material. I could find some tube with this dimension but only in AL 99,9 but this is to weak for this application. At least here in Germany I could not find it, my be in the US it is available. Therefore I used an 8 x 1 mm tube and turned down the Vibe 50 coupler to 6 mm to fit the internal diameter of the tube. On the other side you need to turn down the internal support piece to 6 mm as well and use the original coupler from the Vibe 90. For the torque tube guides I used the ones from the Align T-Rex 600 they are cheaper and fit perfect since the internal diameter of the tail boom is the same on the T-Rex 600 and the Vibe 90.
Now you can slide in the whole assembly into the tail boom and assemble the Vibe 50 tail case. To prevent the tail case from rotation you have to drill a hole into tail boom and put in the fixing screw on top of the tail case.
If you have any more question please let me know I my able to answer it.
