Purchased a X9303 appox.2 months ago, great little radio!Been flying for the last 2 weeks and no problem. The other morning I turned on my RX power turned on the TX,lights on the RX and no control to the servos at all!!What?Everything looked good RTR and no control to the servos, gyro, nothing but lights on the RX like its still binded!
Shut it down,im going to try to re-bind it!No problem, everything went good, servos working, gyro working in HH,im back in business!
Woke up this morning, gave it pre flight inspection.Whammo!Same thing as yesterday.Powered up,lights on,no servo reaction,GY401 blinking. So I try to rebind it again!!!!Seems to enter bind mode fine, lights go solid, not responding to any TX inputs at-all again, but looks like its ready to run again!Tried re-binding 4 more times, seems all good and no response to TX inputs at all.Anyone else have this happen?
Horizon has never heard of something like this,so im sending it in!!!Just thought Id post my problem beacause Im completely stumped on this one!!!

do you always turn the receiver on first, i've been flying for a lot ,many many, years and that has always been a no no. tx on first, then receiver, when you shut down receiver first then tx. Ron

Please cancel my clearance, I have the field in sight.

Ive been having trouble lately hotwings and with this 2.4Ghz set-up you have to turn on the RX first in oder to bind the system.Something is wrong with the electronics.I usually turn my TX on first.

It's a long shot but this may help you isolate the problem as something similar was happening to me.

Turn on both the Rx and Tx. If the rx doesn't initialize, start wiggling each antenna and see if it locks in. I found that there was a bad solder joint on one of my rx antennas and it wouldn't initialize until the antenna was wiggled. Once initialized, it never let go until I turned the rx off and then back on again.

Needless to say, I'm sending this rx back for repair.

That just brings up another issue. If that does work, what would happen if that solder joint came loose in flight?Would I have crashed?Theres 4 sattelites in the system, this thing should have never came out of bind. Now it looks like its still binded and theres absolutely no input being received! Thats scary!I bought this for peace of mind!

Correct

That is true, but you only bind once (if things go OK) not every flight. Tx first then Rx is the correct order unless you have the binding plug in the Rx and hold the bind button on the Tx.
