I have assembled the feathering shaft, thrust bearings, metal blade grips on the head. Very smooth but about a 1/16 of end play. Has anyone experienced this and if so did you shim it? I am going to put the plastic grips back on to continue with the build. Thanks, Rick

I think there's a washer between the blade grip and body housing.

Sorry for sounding vague don't have the manual to hand.

Hi Rick,
This has happened to me before and I had forgot to put back on one of the little copper spacer washers. Make sure you put all the required washers back in place, especially the copper ones as they act as shims.

Hey thanks for the quick reply's. The brass washers are thicker and fit between the bearing and the dampener. I have those in. I have assembled the washers, thrust washers twice to make sure that was right. Same assembly with the pastic grips and all well. The metal grips say Align. I went back to Modefo's site and see there are two different metal grips. Although mine do not say "N" anyplace I am wondering if the nitro grips are different and that is what I have. I did just notice one of the grips is not quite as free to move as the other side. I will take a look that might be the issue.
