Print out some MISSING HELICOPTER signs.
Put it around the area that you lost it, Who knows someone might stumble on it.

I will build your heli for free.

Make sure the local hobby shops know that you lost it. Someone might have found it and they probably would bring it in to get it fixed or figure out how to fly it. Also I would check the flying fields and let people know you lost it - someone might show up with a slightly beat-up Blade 400 and they could end up facing some questions from your buddies. I know around here if someone lost something like that, there's enough flyers in the area that the 'finder' could probably never get away with actually flying the thing anywhere close by.

Don't give up on it not working.

I lost a BCPP in about 20' depth of low visibility water (under 3 feet) - spent over one week trying to locate it (think about trying the techniques mentioned here under water... ).

Finally gave up, but took one last dive as I headed towards shore. Accidentally touched something with my hand. Grabbed it and it turned out to be my heli!

After it being submerged for over 1 week, I spent 2 days taking everything apart and drying it out before turning it back on. Everything worked! Even the lipo was good after I boosted it to get it back to the minimum charging level.

That has been over 1 year ago, and all the parts still work!

Good luck on your search!

His profile says he's from Jersey.
Might be worth a try.

I'm not sure if it's it, but if he discribed any part of it i would know right away, i know everything on that heli. I do have neighbors and they have kids. But the brush/swamps that i lost it in hade wild boars, cotton mouths, and copper heads, If i was a father I would not let my son hunt in that. But idk it could be it.

jamesdh - The link you provide, I think is just a sick individuals attempt at humor.

If the wings are traveling faster than the fuselage, it's probably a helicopter.
