Hey all,

Long time no see! I'm getting back into the hobby after a years absence.

Well I order an HS1269 FG canopy to fit my "HDE SE". But the SOAB wont fit!! It's very tight, and I can't get the holes to reach the mounting pins, and now the FG has slightly cracked

By "HDE SE" I mean I have all the metal upgrades, and CF HDE Frame.

Is it just a simple case of shaving off some of the FG at the bottom to make it sit a few mm further back?

OK, I got it to fit, still tight tho, may still need to loose a little bit more material.

And what's the little sticky backed foam strip for?

Some times I'll use a sandblock with good square edges to buzz the lip at center bottom flat so the whole thing goes back a fuzz more, the foam tape goes on the same lip inside edge centered up for any rattle that may develope.

The AMA is way better than what you belong to!

You can also move your canopy mounts closer. Sometimes this prevents loosing lipo space.
