Hopefully if they can get the relevant details, CE testing will be just a paper exercise.

That delay is bad. I was almost ready to swap from Futaba to JR.

Now I'll just have to save my pennies.

Cheers

You have to take into consideration that the system that is sold in the EU MUST meet the required test standards.

These are NOT the same as the US standards AND taking a US version and getting the power wound down DOES NOT mean it will meet the EU spec.

Rework has to be done to the internal module in order for it to pass in the EU. This adds to the cost, testing the system is a time consuming task and has to be planned months in advance in order to get a test slot. The DSX9 completed testing late April (from memory) yet it was planned back in November !

You do not want to know the cost of a full CE certification test in Japan !! Suffice to say, not cheap !

As the 12X in either version hasn't been released in the UK yet, I doubt if anyone has a complete idea what it will come with.

You're very right Mac Man. Just have to wait a bit longer but I really look forward getting the 12X.

Cheers

I've just been chatting to Macgregor and have been told that the dedicated 2.4Ghz UK version of the 12X is estimated to be available September 2008, but could be delayed until December 2008. As for the price, well that's going to depend on the currency market at the time of release ?
I would plan for early January 2009 to be on the safe side ???
It looks like a very nice bit of kit. I just hope that the price is reasonable ? We all know how we were told that the DSX9 was going to be around the £350 mark for the TX with servos, only for it to then reach the market at £530 and that was with NO SERVOS !!!
I guess we'll have to wait and see ?
