To make this quick I have installed a new spartan last night and have the gain set to about 38% on my gear channel in my dx7. when I piro to the right and stop it is solid for the most part with just a tad bit of bounce, but piro to the left and stop and its bad stop bounce. I have done multiple searches and lowered my deceleration to midpoint and that changed nothing. i also tried going up and down on my stop gain for ccw direction and also have not cured anything. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

if you are using expo with this GY cut it back until it stops

but i don't know nothing about the spartan, so what am saying is does the spartan manual ask you to use expo?
and you might be one of the unlucky people like my that had problems with the blade grips binding in flight and was giving me bounce when i made hard stops with my tail.

To see if it is the grips do this, come in with your very fast and stop the heli and whip you tail very hard at the same time and if the tail bounces back and forth really fast trying to fine center you have grip problems. if that's not happening to you just make sure your tail is smooth and you may need to glue the tail boom belt or put a piece of sand paper under it, because is will move around in flight.

if you are having tail grip problems, you can mod the plastic ones or buy metal ones from rchover or grandrc.

and some people have to mod there push rod also to get the bounce to stop.

i probably was not much help buts that's all i got. sorry.

same problem when i went from a 401 to 770 gyro. this tail hates a high end gyro. i put on a kasama tail with chinese weights and its about perfect now. to much play for our hard stopping gyros.

Man mine works bad ass. Stops with no bounce or nothing...I didnt even change the stock settings.

I have a 9257 tail servo and Im running it at 333Hz with the 1.5mS center pulse.

BTW my gain is 45% on my 10X but I run a torque tube. I was at 40 with the belt but Im pretty sure I could have gone up to 45 with no issues.

Its those stock tail blades im telling you! Try the Align carbons! Also offsetting your servo arm forwards at hovering tail pitch equalises the piro stops. Because the servo doesn't have to travel as far to stop a left piro it stops much quicker and you get a bounce, offsetting the servo arm forwards makes the servo travel further to stop a left piro and not as far to stop a right piro thus equalising the stops. A higher gain can also be achieved from doing this.

Eat, sleep, 3D, crash, repair, repeat...

well I am fed up with this gyro already, the time I am putting into getting it working is not worth it to me, had a 240 401 and 611 that blew this out of the water as far as setup and use. I have tried different tails and still no avail. About to post it for trade for a 611 anyone interested.

tail bounce with spartan

I am also having the same issue as flyboy. I changed the tail to a microheli billet aluminum and put CF blades on. I have decreased the deceleration to midpoint as per spartan and still have the bounce back!! I am waiting on Angelos from spartan to reply on his thoughts. I have also played with the stop gains and can not get it to improve. I have a brand new 9257 on the tail and all mechanicals are set correctly.

Very frustrating!!!
