| I could move the battery a bit further back. Do u think that'll help and would the receiver be ok?
|
The closer the battery is to the main shaft the better off you will be in your case.. so yes, that will help. Whether your RX will be ok, I'm not so sure. I wouldn't recommend mounting your RX upside down for the simple fact of the high possibility of your leads working loose and coming off from the vibrations. You could always wrap your entire electrical components with thin foam and secure with velcro straps. Century provides one that I use that works really well. But again, if your already struggling with your bird being front heavy... this idea will only make it worse.

| Also I have the rear servo mounts of my titans lying around, any idea if they would fit?
|
I'm not familiar with the mini titan.. however, its in a different class in itself so I'm almost certain it wont fit but I could be wrong.
Your in the right track. I personally think, you will get the best results with the tailboom mounted servo approach because sliding that servo farther from the shaft will make a huge difference. This mod will require an extension on your leads and different pushrods that you could pickup at your local HS. Several are available that fixed wing pilots also uses. I recommend using the setup that comes together at an adjustment point so you can make it longer or shorter by simply twisting it. In a nutshell, you'll just have to make the call whether all this is worth it or not. It might be easier just to get a lighter battery.
Good luck
