e-Electric Batteries & Chargers > Outrage LiPos who's flying them?

Anybody flying the Outrage brand LiPos and what do you think of them if you are.

I need some new 6S packs for a 700mm heli to run 2 in series for 12S. Was thinking about the 3700Mahs. Price is good and the weight is OK too. Been flying Thunder Powers and have had some go bad real quick. Been flying Kong Powers in a TRex 450 and they're pretty bullet proof so far. Only thing they have for a 700 is 5000Mahs but they cost and weigh a ton.

I am flying the 6S 3300 25C in my trex 500, so far so good. I found some posts reguarding puffing issues on freak forum. But with all batteries there will be bad cells now and then. The difference is will the company stand behind their product when this happens???

"Are the outrage same as the other non puff tech."

I asked Outrage that question and it is not the same as Air Thunder. So I would not treat them like Air Thunder packs. 80% rule only.

Outrage packs

From my personal Experience and from what I have heard...the Outrage packs are the same as the DesirePower packs...but not the same as AT like someone else stated already...

follow the regular 80% rule and you'll be happy...

what most people Don't know is how well the Outrages and Desirepowers hold their voltage under load...

From all the Eagle tree logs I have seen the TP and Flightpower 25c's tend to drop to about 3.3v per cell under load where as the Outrages/Dp's hold a SOLID 3.6v under load...that's a HUGE difference...the 30c's hold 3.7v

When you fly the Outrages/Desires you can hear the difference in Headspeed....it's that noticeable...also with these packs you will not hear the head bogging anything like the Fp's or TP's...these packs hold such constant voltage that your RPM's will be MUCH more constant.

I have been flying both the Outrages and desires and love them...I also have plenty of TP extreme v2's as well as a bunch of the Evo 25c's

I will be selling ALL of my FP and TP packs VERY soon....and replacing them with the Outrages or desires

Here's what I got in the mail 2 days ago

Does anyone have lots and lots of cycles on these packs? I'm considering some for my mini titan, but don't want the performance to go South big time after say 50 cycles.

cycles...

I have talked to a few people who have quite a few cycles on these outrages and desires without failure or drop in output....That's the only reason I started buying them myself....

I only have a handful of flights on the desires and the outrages ....I'll have some serious cycles logged in though very soon....considering I get about 20 flights a week or more..

Thanks guys for the responses!

I'm going to go for a couple packs. I like the 3.7V per cell at high outputs too.

What I see is no one is saying they puffed some packs and got stuck with them. As Gary said it's if the company stands behind their product that counts. Although I've never puffed any Air Thunders or Kong Powers even they puff once in a while but the companies both stand behind them. As I said I'd go with them but they're just so heavy compared to these Outrages.

Thunder Power stands behind their stuff too but some batches of cells just seem guaranteed to go bad quickly. I'm trying to steer clear of Enerland cells for a while.

Outrage packs are simply the best battery on the market now. They are also have 50% crash replacement and their service is top notch.
