I've been fly a trex 450 and I just bought a Benzin trainer with a 260 motor but it didn't come with carb setting instructions. When I get out to the field how do I adjust the carburator, what am I looking for?

I've found that this question is a BIG subject. This thread has helped me a lot.

Anyhow I think a safe start point is 1 1/2 out on both needles. Is the engine new or has it already been ran? What fuel & oil are you using?

I tell you the biggest help for me has been a temp gun. I get really nervous if I start seeing temp's above 250-260 F. around the head fins.

...yep...

Hey thanks for the tip about the thermometer, I'll check out that thread.

I'm running it 40:1 on a synthetic oil. I was told it has just a few hours running
