Automatic Thanksgiving Dinner Preperation Device.

Watch football while the dinner makes itself!

Project Log:

30 June -
Success!!!!!!
After 3 years I've managed to reliably lure subject to staging area located off second floor deck.

Still need to work bugs out of device to open grill, close upon subject, light itself and start timer.

like it!

If it wasn't some sort of endangered vulture or something you'd just need some bait on the grill and a stick holding the lid open that was easily knocked out the way.

Only problm with the turkeys here is that they wake us up early on weekends. Tom will be doing his "dance of love" and shouting his "gobble-gobble" to his group of hens.

I can go out into the yard and they'll gather 'round wating for a handful of birdseed from the bird feeder. If they're in the woods and see my truck drive on the road into the house they'll follow me and wait for me to get out hoping that I'll have some corn.

"wild tukey" indeed.

That 2nd floor deck is sometimes visited by a local black bear too - but that's another story.

I have that same grill. Just no turkey though.....Unless you count the guy that lives in the apt. upstairs.

Cool!

But do you want to bake subject including the feathers? Or do you also need a plucking device?

I think what you need is called trap And you could connect all the other goodies (lighter, start timer, feather plucking device) to the trap closing event
