Anybody try Align 325mm woodies on their Beam E4?

If so, how did you like them?

I did use the Align woodies with the 6 motor and 10t pinion on a Mini-Titan 325 before. No problems there.

I'm just wondering if these Align Woodies will fit on the Beam E4 blade grips.

The stock Beam blades are just too expensive.

Im using the Pro woodies on mine right now. The fit is snug, but I worked them back and forth in the grips and it shaved the plastic blade reinforcement plates d bit for a perfect fit.

BUT...Im only running the -8 motor with an 11t pinion, so Im well within the rated limits of the rotor.Im also new at this and am only sport flying, and Im using that term loosly.lol

There is a post here or on RC Groups of rotor failure with the Align Pro Woodies...It looks like the were being operated at well over 3K revs.

Where can I buy the stock blades. I only flew with them on my first flight and I liked them. I didnt want to tear them up right away so I put them back. I ordered a set of the cheap Align black and yellow rotor blades to try also.

More than a few people are running the Align woodies on their Beam.

Where can you buy the stock blades? Advantage Hobby doesn't carry them.

Cool. I'll try them and see how it goes.

Only place I saw the stock blades was at HeliDirect which ends up costing around $40 shipped. Don't want to spend that much yet, unless the Align's woodies fly like crap.

Be careful. The blades I received with my Beam were 4.5mm at the hub not 5 and they were white on both sides. Align blades are a tight fit.

I talked to AH and they said they will soon be carrying the Beam blades when they have enough stock. No date though.

Those from HeliDirect look just like the original blades in the first kits for the Beam E4. Those are the one I had.

For $40 I'll pick up a set of radix, I need blades that are safe for under 3500HS. I think I will be running my -6 with a 11T = 3223HS

Yea, you'll need a good set of blades for that Scorpion 6. When I had the Scorpion 6 on my Beam, even with a 10t pinion, it was just too freaky ballistic for me, even when I had the throttle curve at 90% max.

For me, the Pro Woodies were too fluttery for hard flying. Carbons suck in a crash, but its the price I pay. I also like that I can auto pretty nice with carbons!! It's the only time I get cheers from the peanut gallery lol.

The SWE blades from Helidirect are the stock Beam blades. They even have "Beam" embossed on them. The woodies are ok. But how do ya go back to woodies after carbons?

I bought a set of the el cheapo so called Align carbon blades. They suck. The pro woodies are much better for me. I cant fly hard yet. Those cheap "carbon" blades sagged down bad in the sun. They wilted in the heat.Should have known with the cheap price.

The kit comes with glass fiber reinforced blades (pink bottom/white tops). Broke a pair down this weekend and had a good chance to check out the innards - CF spar and trailing edge, the rest is glass fiber reinforced including the main shell. The real trick on the SWE blades is the gel coat of pain that is applied forming a thick, smooth, and durable finish.
